As a licensed marriage and family therapist specializing in psychotherapy for adults and couples, I am dedicated to fostering healing and growth in my clients’ lives. With certification in Brainspotting trauma therapy and a theoretical orientation rooted in humanistic principles and attachment theory, I offer a compassionate and holistic approach to therapy. In my work with couples, I am passionate about improving communication and exploring the impact of childhood experiences on adult relationships. By identifying and addressing unmet needs from the past, I help couples navigate challenges and cultivate deeper connections.

I have found Brainspotting to be a powerful tool in uncovering and resolving attachment trauma, allowing for profound healing and transformation. Drawing from extensive experience in substance abuse recovery, I am committed to supporting individuals and their families on their journey to recovery.

My goal is to empower individuals to better understand themselves, cultivate self-care practices, and foster emotionally fulfilling relationships with others. I look forward to the opportunity to accompany you on your path towards healing, growth, and meaningful connection.

Who I am...

I grew up on the Monterey Peninsula and have a deep appreciation for the access to all things outdoors this area provides. I love to surf, hike, and run - and occasionally like to incorporate these activities into therapy. I draw much of my conceptualization of the therapeutic process from my own experience of self discovery and healing. I believe that each of us has the ability to access our full potential with the right combination of commitment and support.

What is brainspotting?

Brainspotting is a powerful, brain-based somatic therapy that helps heal emotional pain stored deep in the nervous system. Unlike traditional talk therapy, Brainspotting uses eye positions - called “brainspots” - to gently guide your brain and body to process unresolved trauma, anxiety, and stuck patterns.

This approach works by locating where your body holds unprocessed experiences and helping your nervous system release them in a safe, supported way. Many clients (myself included!) describe it as “deeply calming” and “transformational,” often reaching insights and healing that felt out of reach before.

Whether you’re struggling with past trauma, anxiety, or just feeling stuck, Brainspotting creates the space for your brain and body to do what they were designed to do - heal.

Couple’s therapy approach

Healing a relationship takes more than just talking about the problems - it means understanding what’s underneath them. I help couples navigate challenges like infidelity, addiction, and emotional disconnection by addressing both the relationship and the individual wounds each partner carries.

My work focuses on three key areas:

  • Understanding attachment patterns- We’ll uncover deep emotional needs and protective strategies driving your conflicts. By recognizing these patterns, couples can begin to respond to each other with more compassion and less reactivity.

  • Building Communication Skills- Together, we’ll practice tools that make it easier to speak and listen in ways that foster safety and connection - even when emotions are high.

  • Processing individual traumas- Often, unresolved pain from the past keeps couples “stuck” in cycles of hurt. I help partners process these experiences so they can show up more fully for each other in the present.

This isn’t about quick fixes. It’s about creating a relationship where both partners feel seen, heard, and supported - a secure base for growth and connection.
